5 REASONS TO GO ON ADVENTURE TRIPS

Updated: Nov 24, 2019

195 countries yet we have been to none. You must wonder about how do I travel when my boss doesn’t give an off even when my cat’s down with fever or when my dog looks utterly cute and edible; the answer is you don’t have to travel to places in the far off land when you can fulfill your dreams of getting lost in the beauty of nature and wild while you heart beats at the highest pace as a result of the adrenaline rushing through your veins.

How we feel by indulging in adventures and weekend getaways

All of this possible only if you follow your heart’s passion and need for adventure but that’s only possible if you take the first step toward it which is letting go of your inhibitions and surf for all the available activities laced with adrenaline. Start small and engage in simple yet highly fulfilling activities like rock climbing, scavenger hunt, camping and so many more. You will find yourself wanting more so you just do that by taking it a notch higher to activities like surfing, snorkeling and bungee jumping; what’s better than falling from a thousand meters high cliff while relieving the tension as you head straight towards the ground.

Letting go of your anxiety and fear

Did you know that 1 in every 13 people suffers from anxiety and that depression is the leading cause of disability around the world (Adaa.org, 2019). Adventurous and outdoor activities help you overcome these feeling of loneliness and under confidence by releasing the happy hormones like oxytocin and dopamine making us happier and tranquil (Mentalfloss.com, 2019). If that wasn’t enough, it helps us to function more effectively and efficiently leading to an increased productivity at work showing the signs of significant improvement and responsibility.

We all have been trying to reduce that little bulge on our sides but working out is not an option’ but what if going on expeditions and adventures helps us stay fit. That is right, going on trips and expeditions can help you stay healthy while it also improves our sleeping pattern leading to a better lifestyle.

Engaging in outdoor activities and adventure trips strengthens our relationship with friends and families alongside increasing our self-awareness. Spontaneous excursions like scavenge hunting and camping improve our brain activity making us more observant, smarter and help us to overcome any obstacles that cross ours path. This increases our self- confidence and helps us to stand stronger than ever before. No one minds a glowing face which is brought about by nature at its finest with the hint of smile and freshness in our lives.

Like Mark Twain once said, “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Leave the shore and relish in the happiness brought about by the adventures while liberating our souls from the weight of stress and tension from the monotony of our lives by being brave and experiencing the unknown adrenaline laced world.
